Russian President Congratulated Popular Mechanics

The First Russian Youth Innovation Convention, organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, was held in Moscow on December 9 - 10, 2008. More than 1,000 projects were presented at the forum, but only the five best were given the National Vladimir Zvorykin Award and given 1 million rubles each.

Popular Mechanics was among the top five, and was given the award for informational support of innovative commercial and industrial activity.

Director of the Russian Nanotechnology Corporation Anatoly Chubais presented the awards, and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev congratulated the winners at the close of the awards ceremony.
