Changes to Esquire

Oleg Dyachenko, who since 2005 has served as the publisher of Esquire magazine – a publication with an almost cult-like following on the Russian market – left Independent Media Sanoma Magazines on October 25 to pursue new media projects.

Taking his place will be Svetlana Tunyakina, who is also the publisher of the Harvard Business Review – Russia, Agroinvestor and Agrotechnika and Technologii magazines.

The influence and authority of Esquire magazine are difficult to overstate. Many magazines consciously and unconsciously copy its style and manner of presentation. The history of Esquire’s success – which started from the first year it appeared in Russia – has been accompanied by such extraordinary special projects as the Esquire Apartment project (2008) and the book “Rules of Life” (2010). The web site www.esquire.ru was successfully launched in July 2010.
