Charity Bazaar 2012
Harper’s Bazaar magazine, in partnership with the Quintessentially Lifestyle English club, held the fifth annual Charity Bazaar auction on Nov. 29. The event brings together prominent individuals in business, the arts and fashion for one of the main high society functions of the capital city. This year, the auction was held in the Bakhmetevsky building, formerly a bus garage and currently a modern art gallery.
Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief Daria Valedeeva opened the gala evening by welcoming participants and thanking them for supporting the charitable initiative despite the inclement weather. Valedeeva noted that charitable activity is on the rise and that an increasing number of guests attend the Charity Bazaar each year.
After the welcoming words, guests watched a film by the World Fashion Channel about last year’s Charity Bazaar. The film featured stories about the children who received funds for medical treatment that were raised at the 2011 Charity Bazaar.
