New Service from Popular Lectures

The Popular Lectures series offers participants a new service: the opportunity to buy tickets on the site popmech.ru.

The Popular Lectures series by Popular Mechanics magazine is a successful project that launched in September 2010. Information about the project reaches an average of 3 million people per month. The lectures are held on weekday evenings at the 35MM movie theater in Moscow and are regularly announced in Popular Mechanics magazine and on the sites popmech.ru, kino35mm.ru and theoryandpractice.ru. Announcements also appear in the magazines Bolshoi Gorod (Big City) and Afisha (Current Events), and on the sites bg.ru, rambler.ru, timeout.ru, yandex.ru, gazeta.ru and slon.ru.

Prior to February 2012, lecture tickets were only available at the 35MM movie theater box office, but as of March 2012, the tickets could also be purchased online through the Rambler Kassa (Box Office) service and on the 35MM site.

As of April 1, 2013, the tickets are available on the popmech.ru website as well. Users must click on the announcement of the lecture they want to attend, then click on “Buy Tickets.” A window will appear in which they should select their preferred method of payment: credit card, Yandex Money or Qiwi Wallet using a mobile phone. The e-tickets will be sent to the specified e-mail.
