SIM Supports Patients at Morozov and Botkin Hospitals
The Sanoma Independent Media (SIM) publishing house continued its cooperation with the Podari Zhizn (Give Life) charitable foundation. From May, SIM magazines were available to patients at the Botkin and Morozov Children’s Hospitals.
Every month, the hospitals’ libraries receive the latest issue of the magazines National Geographic Russia, Popular Mechanics, Yes!, Cosmopolitan, Cosmopolitan Psychology and Domashny Ochag at no charge. Volunteers from the charitable foundation also bring the magazines to patients who are unable to move.
“We hope that this initiative will help the children and their mothers focus less on their condition and enjoy their free time in the hospital more,” said SIM manager for charitable programs Anastasia Komolova. “In the future we plan to send the complimentary magazines to a greater number of hospitals as well as orphanages and other institutions.”
SIM has been working with Podari Zhizn for several years now, in particular by financing the publication of the Morozovka magazine and taking part in collecting toys for children with serious illnesses.
