Cosmopolitan Shopping Turns 10

Cosmopolitan Shopping invited friends and business partners to the Oblaka restaurant for the Shopping in Wonderland fashion party on October 15. The event celebrated the 10th anniversary of a magazine that, over the years, has become a leading guide to the world of fashion and beauty.

The party’s theme was on mystery shopping, style and fashion secrets, and the subtleties of creating one’s personal look. Guests were welcomed by Lewis Carroll characters like the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and the White Queen. The Afrasound group created the magical atmosphere with their music, while singer Alexander Belyakov performed cover versions of international hits and magicians entertained guests with amazing tricks.

An artist cut paper silhouettes of guests and presented the works to them as framed gifts and anyone who wished could record themselves in a “selfie mirror” and post the photos on social networks with the hashtag #cosmoshopping10.

The magazine’s stylists staged a fashion show, the main event of the evening. Professional NYX makeup artists and Syoss hair stylists prepared the models, who put on display the season’s most striking trends to the musical accompaniment of DJ Chagin Flammable Beat. Each image was captured in real-time on an interactive Cosmopolitan Shopping cover. Afterward, guests took part in a raffle for prizes from beauty brands L’Occitane, Melvita and Erborian as well as leather accessories from the Italian brand Arancio.

Guests also enjoyed a variety of appetizers from the chef of the Oblaka restaurant. The Magnolia Bakery made cupcakes with images of Lewis Carroll characters especially for the party. The culmination of the evening was a festive cake adorned with a confectionary cover of the magazine’s anniversary issue. Cosmopolitan Shopping editor-in-chief Alisa Radlova cut the cake and served its slices to guests.
