Igor Garanin Named Editorial Director of Fashion for Esquire and Robb Report Russia

Igor Garanin has been named editorial director of fashion for the men’s magazines Esquire and Robb Report Russia. Mr. Garanin will be responsible for fashion content in the publications and their digital and special projects. He will remain editor-in-chief of Robb Report Russia.

“Igor Garanin’s decades of experience and profound knowledge of the fashion and luxury industries will help us realize Esquire’s enormous potential in this segment,” said Esquire publisher Lyudmila Abramenko. “Combining the Esquire and Robb Report Russia fashion departments under Mr. Garanin meets the market demand for greater integration in multiplatform communications. I am sure we can now offer fashion brands the unique opportunity to interact with an influential male audience,” she added.

“Men take a serious interest in what they wear, and that’s a fact,” said Garanin. “They glean information from all the sources available to them: magazines, websites and social networks. Now it is very important to bring all of that fashion information found in men’s magazines together and provide the reader with a clear and highly professional assessment of what is happening in the world of cashmere suits and leather shoes,” he said.

Igor has been chief editor of Robb Report Russia since 2014. He previously worked as fashion department head for GQ magazine and editor-in-chief of GQ Style from 2006 to 2013. From 2003 to 2005 Mr. Gagarin headed the men’s group of companies for Bosco di Ciliegi.
