Independent Media marketing research and development director Olga Bobrova was honored as one of the top Russian marketing experts in the Media, Advertising, Publishing category at the first National Business Communications Awards.
The ceremony, organized by the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia (ACAR) with support from the Russian Chamber of Commerce and the RusBrand association, responds to the new realities of the market. Its mission is to identify marketing leaders and trendsetters in Russia and to highlight individuals who use effective tools for developing and promoting brands, thereby contributing to country’s economic growth.
Ms. Bobrova arrived at Independent Media in 2002, and was heading the marketing research department by 2004. She served on the ACAR advisory board for several years and was named to the Top 1,000 Russian Managers list in 2007, a joint project of the Association of Russian Managers and Kommersant newspaper. She has also developed several unique techniques for analyzing data.
Her achievements while at Independent Media include the development and implementation of a cyclical reporting and training system for marketing and advertising sales departments to increase their efficiency; the resolution of strategic and tactical brand objectives using both subcontracted and in-house research; initiating the use of innovative solutions to the business process; enhancing corporate B2B communication tools, and more.
