On August 6, the first feature-length documentary movie filmed in 3D format, OceanWorld, was released in theaters. Through August 31, showings of the film in five Luxor movie theaters (Havana, Yaseneva, Otradnoye, Mitino and Orion) will open with a trailer announcing the main themes in the August issue of National Geographic Russia.
Jean-Michele Cousteau, son of Jacques-Yves Cousteau, acted as consultant to the film, and the movie was directed by Jean-Jacques Mantello. The film shoot took place in 15 seas and three oceans at only an arm’s length from the subjects on the screen. Using the latest technology, the film reveals all of the sea’s depths, its picturesque seascapes and its amazing life in all of its three-dimensional majesty.
