National Geographic at Non-Fiction
National Geographic Russia and National Geographic Traveler magazines acted as informational sponsors to the 11th Annual Exhibition of Intellectual Non-Fiction Literature held from December 2 to 6 in the Central House of Artists on Krimsky Val.
The Non-Fiction Exhibition has become a traditional and important event for everyone connected with the publishing, distribution and promotion of high-quality artistic, humanitarian and educational literature. This year the exhibition brought together more than 282 publishers from 18 countries. Organizers put great significance on the exhibit’s program. It included seminars and roundtable discussions, meetings with authors and directors of major publishing houses as well as presentations of new literary products.
The National Geographic stand – that traditionally draws a large number of visitors – worked throughout the event. The stand was decorated in the style of the December issue of National Geographic Russia, with a huge photograph of a sequoia – the largest tree in the world. Guests could buy the latest issues of NGR and NGT as well as purchase a gift set of all the 2009 issues.
Guests also had a chance to view a National Geographic photo exhibit presenting the best international masters of photography: “In the lens – living nature.”
