Vedomosti Wins “Honor above Profit” Award

Vedomosti business newspaper, represented by Editor-in-Chief Tatiana Lysova, has won the “Honor Above Profit” award for the third time in the business journalism competition. The competition was established by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).

The prize, named in honor of the first RSPP president, Arkady Volsky, was awarded for the work performed by Tatiana Lysova as Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper. The “Honor Above Profit” award is given for objectivity and impartiality in reporting the development of Russian business, clearly defined citizenship and for making a personal contribution to promoting constructive dialogue between the business community and government.

Conducted by RSPP since 2008, the competition aims to attract the attention of leading Russian print publications to the problems confronting businesses and entrepreneurs. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of high-quality publications covering topics relevant to the business community.

In 2009, Vedomosti “Commentary” column editor Maxim Trudyulyubov received the award, and in 2008 it was given to a joint program between Vedomosti newspaper and Ekho Moskvy radio titled “The Big Watch.”
