New Achievements from National Geographic Magazines

National Geographic Traveler magazine has become the undisputed leader among travel publications in Russia. According to TNS, National Geographic Traveler enjoyed an average issue readership (AIR) in Russia of 427,100 people* for the period of May to October 2010. By comparison, the AIR for the next most popular magazine, Afisha World, is 122,500 people.

The audience for National Geographic Russia continues to grow as well. According to TNS, the magazine’s AIR in Russia was 1.71 million people for the same period. The figure for the previous period was 1.67 million. Most of the increase came from new readers in the Russian regions.

Thus, the cumulative Russian readership for both magazines is approximately 2 million people.

* The readership figures for National Geographic Traveler were measured in Moscow beginning in March 2010, and from September 2010 in all other cities.
