The Sanoma Independent Media publishing house announces the launch of Women’s Health magazine in Russia.
Women’s Health is a high-quality, glossy format publication about healthy lifestyles. This lively, fun and practical magazine for modern, active women covers not only healthy lifestyles and fitness, but also beauty, style, sex and relationships. The magazine’s slogan is "Good to be yourself!"
The magazine is aimed at women aged 25 to 35 with a higher education and who are interested in healthy living and proper nutrition, fashion and beauty, sports and active recreation.
Margarita Tyrina — publisher of Men’s Health and Yes! magazines — has been appointed publisher of Women’s Health. Maria Troitskaya will serve as editor-in-chief. Prior to her appointment to WH, Troitskaya had a productive working relationship with Sanoma Independent Media writing for Men’s Health and Cosmopolitan and contributing to Elle magazine. Tatyana Bogolyubova, who will act as managing editor, has experience participating in the launch and development of Cosmopolitan and Men’s Health. The commercial director, Maria Kamenskaya, has worked as advertising director of Men’s Health.
The first issue of Women’s Health will have a print run of 110,000 copies. Three issues will be released by the close of this year — the November, December and the January/February releases.
A major advertising campaign will accompany the launch of Women’s Health. Outdoor advertising is planned for Moscow and St. Petersburg and other cities with populations of 1 million or more, radio spots, ads in other Sanoma Independent Media publications, a large-scale promotion at points of sale and promotions in a range of fitness clubs. Close cooperation and cross-promotions with the famous Men’s Health magazine brand will attract additional readers.
Women’s Health was first published in the United States in 2005 by the Rodale company. The magazine is currently published under license in a total of 11 countries.
