Mamas&Papas Holds Contest for Children

Mamas&Papas magazine held a creativity competition for children over the winter vacation. The contest was designed to unleash the creative potential and artistic ability of children aged 5 to 12. Contestants were asked to draw a picture on one of two related themes: “Me and My Family” or “How I Love My Family.”

Participants sent their artwork to the magazine, where a demanding jury selected the winners. Preference was given to works in which the themes were explored in a more profound, original, graphic, striking and imaginative way. 

First place was awarded to Anastasia Solodovnikova. Both Maria Gavrilyuk and Paulina Luchinskaya shared second place, and third went to Ksenia Gonatayeva and Maria Bazygina. The Audience Choice Award was given to Ksenia Gonatayeva and Maria Bazygina.

The winners received complimentary art lessons for children as prizes: for first place – eight lessons; for second – six lessons; and for third – four lessons. 

An exhibition of the best work submitted to the contest is on display at the ART4.RU Museum of Contemporary Art. The winning submissions can also be found on the museum’s website and on the pages of Mamas&Papas magazine.
