The Viadeo network for professionals has summed up the results and chosen the winners in its “Discover the World with Viadeo” competition. The prizes: two tickets to Paris from Air France and one year’s subscriptions to National Geographic Russia magazine.
All registered Viadeo users were eligible to take part in the contest. To win the grand prize of two tickets to Paris, applicants had to upload one of their travel photograph along with a brief caption describing the place and then invite as many friends and co-workers as possible to access the social network and vote for the photo. The 50 users who invited the most people to Viadeo received free one-year subscriptions to National Geographic Russia.
The grand prize — two tickets to Paris — went to Polina Zvereva, an auditor with the Deloitte company. Her photo received the greatest number of votes. “I was happy to participate in the contest,” said Zvereva, “to spend a month asking co-workers and writing to friends and travel lovers to vote for my photo, and as a result to receive such a fantastic prize! I’m happy! Thank you!”
The main objective of the competition was to promote the Viadeo brand in Russia in order to attract new users. A total of 690 Viadeo users took part in the competition, more than 200 photos were uploaded over the course of the contest, and the winning photograph received 101 votes.
