Mamas&Papas at “Mushroom Enough for All”

Mamas&Papas magazine invites readers to attend the “Spornaya Territory” (Mushroom Enough for All) exhibition that will run from May 18 through the end of September at the Experimentanium Museum in Moscow. The publication will serve as media partner to the event.

“Spornaya Territory” (Land of Spores) is the first interactive exhibition devoted to the strangest of all kingdoms in nature: mushrooms. Inside the museum, visitors can stand barefoot on a patch of grass amidst woods like those one might find in summer on the edge of town. They will hear birds singing and the sound of branches swaying with the wind. And what’s more, they will learn many new things about the amazing world around us.

The exposition is divided into three sections: fungus, yeast and blewits mushrooms. Children and their parents will find answers to such interesting questions as: Why is summer rain referred to as “mushroom rain”? What is the life cycle of brewers yeast? What do poisonous toadstools have in common with kvass, the traditional Russian drink made from bread?

The exhibition is suitable for people of all ages and will prove interesting for junior scholars as well as mamas and papas. The Experimentanium is located at 46/2 Butyrskaya Street in Moscow and works from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
