Wedding Issues Invitation to Gorko! Film

Wedding magazine is serving as media partner to the new Gorko! movie slated for widespread release in Russia on Oct. 24. The Bazelev’s Distribution company presents the adventure comedy with performer Sergei Svetlakov in the lead role and producing the film.

Guests at the premiere showing held at the October movie theater in Moscow on Oct. 16 had the opportunity to peruse the latest issue of Wedding magazine. The publication’s logo also appeared on the printed invitations to the event.

In the story, the young couple of Natasha (played by Yulia Alexandrova) and Roma (played by Yegor Koreshkov) dream of having a European wedding on the seashore, but Natasha’s step-father (played by Yan Tsapnik) has different plans for them. As an ambitious city administration official, he sees their wedding as a springboard for his own career and attempts to organize everything “as it should be” – that is, with a reception at the Zolotoy restaurant replete with boring and pointless rituals. Unable to dissuade him, the couple decides to conduct the wedding of their dreams secretly and without their conservative relatives. But in a surprise twist, both celebrations end up happening together.
