The 2013 Wedding Awards

Wedding magazine held its first-ever Wedding Awards at the Kempenski St. Nicholas hotel on Nov. 19. 

In addition to the nominees, jury members and celebrity guests attended the ceremony. They included Wedding magazine Editor-in-Chief Lika Dlugach, TV host and showman Andrei Fomin, actresses Olga Filippova and Yekaterina Klimova, singer Anastasia Zadorozhnaya, Passion.ru Editor-in-Chief Anna Platova and Best FM radio DJ Vita Samoilova.

The jury members included Wedding magazine Editor-in-Chief Lika Dlugach (Chairperson), designer Dasha Gauzer, TV host and showman Andrei Fomin, popular radio and TV host Anton Komolov, National Geographic Traveler magazine Editor-in-Chief Alexander Zheleznyak, Collezioni magazine Editor-in-Chief Tatiana Maximova, British florist Zita Elze and photographer Mikhail Korolev. Anton Komolov had to host a live program that evening and sent a video greeting to the guests instead.
 
In addition to the awards ceremony itself, guests watched a selection of the best wedding videos, a program of entertainments and enjoyed special, surprise awards. Everyone waited anxiously to learn Wedding magazine’s choice for best wedding agency, but in a surprise announcement, the jury said it would also give a Jury’s Choice award in the same category. Collezioni magazine Editor-in-Chief Tatiana Maximova presented another new award: “Best Wedding Salon Debut of the Year.” Every winner received an original Wedding Awards statuette, floral bouquet and complimentary gifts presented by members of the jury and invited guests.

Following the exciting announcements and presentation of the awards, the guests relocated to the restaurant Mosaik for a buffet meal, musical program and a raffle. As general partner to the awards, Canon presented each guest with instant photo mementos. As jewelry partner, the Da Vinci company organized a jewelry exhibition in the hotel lobby.

The World Fashion Channel will air coverage of the awards and the Moskva 24 channel will show a report from the event on its “Vykhod v Gorod” (Out On the Town) program this Saturday. Media partners Best FM radio, National Geographic Traveler magazine and the Passion.ru portal provided support for the awards.
