National Geographic Traveler Awards 2014
National Geographic Traveler Awards 2014, the online voting for the best tourist destinations among the most popular types of leisure, will continue at until the end of September.
Winners will be chosen in the following categories: "Beach Leisure," "Winter Leisure," "Eco Leisure," "Excursions," "Adventure Vacations," "Russian Tourism," "Exotic Vacations," "Best Shopping City," "Back to the USSR," "Best Airport in the World," "Discovery of the Year" and "Rest and Recreation." In addition, voters can choose "Best Hotel Chain," "Best International Airline," "Best Russian Airline," "Best Cruise Company" and "Best Internet Service."
A special category "The Most Amazing Tea Party" is presented by project partner, British tea company Newby. Readers that relate an interesting story about tea stand a chance to win a gift set from the Newby Silk Collection. In addition, all participants will receive a certificate from Imagebook to print a photo book.
The annual National Geographic Traveler Awards showcases the best places for relaxing, from the familiar to the undiscovered. It provides inspiration for new journeys not only to beginners, but also to experienced travelers.
The results of the voting will be published at the magazine’s website at and in the Nov. 2014 – Jan. 2015 issue of National Geographic Traveler.
