Sanoma Magazines International named Gloria, the first Russia's weekly, as the brightest project from those launched in Eastern Europe in 2006.
On February 9, 2007 the Kommersant newspaper published an article with the headline "Independent Media has Increased Turnover by 20%." The article says: "Yesterday Finnish media holding SanomaWSOY revealed its financial accounts for 2006, which include figures of Independent Media Sanoma Magazines, its Russian subsidiary... In 2006, net sales of Independent Media has grown by approximately 20% and made up 90.2 million euros... The launch of the Russian magazine Gloria in May became the brightest project of Sanoma Magazines International."
Independent Media top management has confirmed the facts and reported that the plans for 2007 include even more dynamic development of the magazine.
"The main targets for 2007 are further strong advertising support and team strengthening," said Uliana Akiniazova, Gloria marketing director.
