OVA Press and Independent Media Create Joint Venture

OVA Press and Independent Media have agreed to create a new Joint Venture. OVA Press will hold 60% of the shares and Independent Media 40%.

Starting from 2006 the new Joint Venture will publish FHM and Top Sante. At present the magazines are being published in Russia by Independent Media under Licence of Emap Consumer Media (Great Britain).

The advertising sales of the new JV will be handled by Video International Press, which now serves both OVA Press and Top Sante. Day-to-day operations will be managed by OVA Press, distribution - by Independent Media.

Monthly men's title FHM (For Him Magazine) is published in Russia since September 2001. Editor-in-chief - Dmitry Gubin. Circulation - 100,000. Format - A4. Volume - 170.
Distributed all across Russia (Moscow - 47%, regions - 51%, subscription - 2%). Russian FHM is also being sold in USA, Israel, England, Germany, Baltics.

Top Sante is a magazine, devoted to health and beauty, is published in Russia since 2002. Editor-in-chief - Darja Veledeeva. Circulation - 120,000. Format - 215х275 mm. Volume - 100.
Distribution: Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nijny Novgorod, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, Samara, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Saratov, Pyatigorsk, Krasnodar, etc.), Ukraine, Latvia, Kazakhstan.

OVA Press Publishing House is being in Russian market since 1993. It publishes such magazines as HELLO!, Interior+Design with supplements (Antikvariat, 100% Kuhni, 100% Zagorodny Dom, 100% Office, 100% Mebel), Moy Kroha i ja, Sandra, Valya-Valentina.
Controlling block of paper belongs to the investment company "Russian Media Ventures". Its founders are Peter Gerwy (a famous media investor and establisher of radio Maximum, STS TV-channel) and Video International Group of Companies.
