Chance of Success
The organizers of "Chance of Success", a program to graduates of children's homes and boarding schools, expressed their thanks to Independent Media publishing house.
The program, which was initiated by the International Finance Corporation and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), gives former children's home residents a chance to work in companies, gain new knowledge, and broaden their scopes.
During the course of the program, former residents of children's homes are trained in job search and interview skills, and learn how to work as part of a team.
Independent Media has been participating in the program since the end of 2004, when several graduates of a children's home interned in Cosmopolitan's marketing department. This year the children's home graduates were recruited for the Harper's Bazaar marketing and HR departments. At present Lubov Abramova (on the photo) and Natalia Eltsova are working for a B2B project.
