The Vedomosti Newspaper Cup

On March 17-19, the Vedomosti newspaper hosted its second "Business Strategies and Tactics" tournament. A unique complex program for the tournament was worked out by Strategica, Vedomosti's partner in the event.

Vedomosti's challenge was accepted by Wimm-Bill-Dann, URALSIB Financial Corporation, Techmarket, United Confectioners, Nidan Foods, Yakutskenergo, NPO Saturn, Interpipe, "Znak Khleba" (Bread Sign, Saratov), Atlanta Capital, FINAM, and Navigator LFG teams.

The Cup was taken by the combined Intelligent Team, comprised of Maxim Zhukov (Wimm-Bill-Dann, economic and strategic planning department), Alexei Akimov (URALSIB Financial Corporation, director of regional network department), Evgeny Titov (Techmarket, director of marketing and advertising department), Yuri Kovalevsky (United Confectioners, director of marketing department), and Dmitry Dosko (Interpipe, business curator).

Georgy Chkareuli from Atlanta Capital was named the best investor of the tournament, and Semyon Birg from FINAM the best analyst.

The prize places in the unofficial Olympic corporate competition were shared by United Confectioners, Wimm-Bill-Dann and Interpipe. The "Best GR" and "Best IR" prizes went to the Nissoni team (Sergey Moldavchenkov). Techical support for the tournament was provided by IBM and KROK.
