Charity Evening in St. Petersburg

On December 14, The St. Petersburg Times and agency Fusion Media held a charity lottery in restaurant "Ermitazhny". The lottery was organized to gather donations for St. Petersburg charity foundation "Roditelsky Most" (Parent's Bridge).

The lottery prizes were provided by the foundation's partners: the State Hermitage museum, the State Academic Mariinsky theatre, Fashion house ULITA, Northwestern Coffee company, companies JQ Media, "Art-Kraft", "VAGR", "Audio Video design ", "Rekondor" and others.

919 lottery tickets sold by the lottery earned 91900 rubles for the project. This sum will be used to hold a New Year holiday for foster children under the care of the Parent's Bridge foundation. 600 kids will go to entertaining center Russian Village Shuvalovka in St. Petersburg suburbs in January, 2005.

Such events have already become a tradition for The St. Petersburg Times. Last year, the newspaper gathered 77 700 rubles at a charity evening, that was used to hold a New Year celebration for 500 kids - the program's participants in Shuvalovka, and to send 50 kids on an excursion to Novgorod.

The next charity evening is planned in St. Petersburg in June, 2005
