Tom Stewart: "Harvard Business Review is a magazine about ideas"

In October the second issue of "Harvard Business Review - Russia" came out. On the occasion of the magazine's successful realease, editor-in-chief of the American edition Tom Stewart visited Moscow on September 8-12.
During his visit he met representatives of the Russian business press. Journalists from magazines Company and Expert, and internet edition E-xecutive were interested most of all in the unique HBR model and increasing popularity of the magazine in the whole world: with the launch of the Russian version, this famous American magazine now has 9 foreign editions.
- Harvard Business Review is not about people nor about events я it's about ideas, explained Tom Stewart. - We depend less on news. HBR is a magazine about ways to improve company management with the help of effective ideas. We make the magazine for top managers in the whole world. If we publish good material from Russian, Turkish, or Brazilian company, it will be appreciated by managers in other countries.
The rising interest in HBR in Russia is already proved by results of the subscription campaign. The magazine has 2,500 paying subscribers now. Preliminary orders from retail chains number 7,500. The remaining part of the circulation - 7000 copies - is distributed by direct mail.
