Vedomosti “Anti-Press” Conference in St. Petersburg

Vedomosti newspaper held an “anti-press” conference in St. Petersburg on April 14. Journalists of the St. Petersburg bureau decided to repeat the experience of their Moscow colleagues by answering questions posed by an audience of interested people.

The event generated great interest among representatives of press, PR and marketing services from various business sectors. The 90-seat room at the Grand Hotel Europe was filled to capacity. Participating in the anti-press conference where St. Petersburg bureau editor Anna Shcherbakova, deputy editor Anatoly Temkin, journalist Nadyezhda Zaitseva as well as St. Petersburg office general director Tatiana Turikova.

During the one-hour give and take, journalists responded to a wide range of questions related to the editorial policy of the newspaper. The communication became more informal afterward: over coffee, audience members could pose clarifying questions to members of the editorial staff and the newspaper’s marketing and sales department.
